Velingo has developed a system that finds "related keywords" for Search Engines. As any Internet user knows, Search Engines are very useful once the user queries with the exact keyword that will trigger the desired results. The slightest change in spelling or verb tense is enough to invalidate the usefulness of a search. Even worse, if the user doesn't know exactly what to search for, the results often become meaningless. Velingo offers a solution for finding "related keywords". Regardless of the tense or spelling, Velingo's results are based on the related concepts, more than the actual keyword.
The company started its prototype and proof of concept development in the beginning of 2006. After six months of development and patent filing, the company received its first seed investment (July 2006) and continues to develop the solution as it seeks strategic partners and markets in which to propagate its solution.
